Brendan Rodgers Returning Terrifies Rangers

It was Barry Ferguson last week with the quote “The very mention of Brendan Rodgers being in the running for the job should send a shiver down the spine because he’s the guy who started this monopoly by leading them to three successive trebles”

Now Ally McCoist is hoping “top operator” Rodgers will have the thoughts of a section of Celtic supporters on his mind if he returns.

All over the Rangers forums the glee and joy of Anges exit is short lived as they worry about the return of the manager who wiped the floor with them constantly when the 2nd version of Rangers finally made it into the Premier league.

I already said in an earlier article I’d like Rodgers back as I believe he is a good manager and would give us some continuity after Ange leaving.

As for loyalty, the days of Paul McStay and legends like him are over (we have a few exceptions).

We probably have to just accept players and managers see Celtic as a stepping stone to the English Premier league and when a concrete offer comes in from even a mediocre English side they will be off.

I hate this situation but it is the reality of modern day football.
