Celtic set to pocket massive sell on fee for Frimpong

A few media outlets reporting today that Jeremie Frimpong is set for a big move with both Real Madrid and Manchester United interested.

The Daily Record reports “The European heavyweights have closely monitored his development at Bayer Leverkusen and view the Dutchman as Galactico quality. Leverkusen have reportedly told suitors the bidding starts at £34m for a player also coveted by Manchester United. It has been a meteoric rise for the 22-year-old who swapped the Manchester City youth team for a shot with Celtic in 2019. And his form in Glasgow earned his switch to Germany where he has thrived as a rampaging wing-back under Xabi Alonso's tutelage.”

Celtic are said to have a sell on fee clause of around 15 percent.

Brendan Rodgers has already said to have been assured a big transfer chest and this bit of good news will add to it.

Rangers are signing freebies and loans at the moment and I don’t believe for a second the Scottish media reports they are bidding 7 million plus for players.

Any transfer they make will have to be paid up in instalments, 7 million would take around 20 years for them and by that time we will be onto the 3rd version of Rangers (maybe called Sevcon??)

It’s a great time to be a Celtic supporter!!
